Kuthur, Nov 6: Assam Rifles organised a dental healthcare camp at Kuthur village in Nagaland on November 4, providing essential oral healthcare services to 43 civilians from the local community.
The camp offered a range of dental services, including medical consultations, tooth fillings, scaling and extractions, enabling residents to access basic dental treatment close to their homes.
Dental care professionals examined beneficiaries and provided treatment based on their individual requirements. Oral hygiene aids were also distributed to encourage residents to adopt healthy dental habits and maintain better oral health.
Special emphasis was laid on preventive dental care, with participants sensitised to the importance of regular brushing, proper oral hygiene, timely dental check-ups and early treatment of dental problems. The awareness sessions also highlighted how neglecting oral health can lead to complications affecting overall well-being.
The initiative was particularly beneficial for residents of the remote village, where access to specialised healthcare facilities and regular dental consultations may be limited.
By organising the camp, Assam Rifles sought to address immediate healthcare needs while promoting awareness about preventive practices and the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene.
Such humanitarian outreach initiatives form part of the force's continuing efforts to support communities in remote areas through healthcare assistance and welfare activities.
The camp reaffirmed Assam Rifles' commitment to accessible healthcare, community welfare and strengthening its relationship with local residents through meaningful public outreach.
