Assam Rifles holds NCC awareness seminar in Longleng

Dimapur, June 15: Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Phom Students’ Conference (PSC), organised an NCC Awareness Seminar at Longleng in Nagaland on 13 June 2026 to guide and motivate young cadets towards nation-building and disciplined leadership.

The seminar was attended by 84 NCC cadets from various educational institutions across the district. The session focused on creating awareness about opportunities available through the National Cadet Corps (NCC), including Central and State Government incentives, Cadet Welfare Society benefits, and avenues for personal and professional development.
Officials highlighted how NCC training contributes to leadership qualities, discipline, character building, and service to the nation, encouraging cadets to actively pursue opportunities within the organisation.
The interactive programme also aimed to strengthen youth engagement in constructive activities and inspire them to play a proactive role in community development and national service.
Participants expressed appreciation for the informative session and thanked Assam Rifles and the Phom Students’ Conference for organising the programme. They noted that such initiatives help broaden their understanding of career opportunities and strengthen their motivation towards positive goals.
