Imphal, April 11: Assam Rifles organised a security-cum-interaction meeting at Henchungpunchee in Pherzwal District, Manipur, on April 9, 2026, aimed at strengthening coordination with local stakeholders and reinforcing peace and stability in the region.

The meeting was attended by the Company Commander along with representatives of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), village chairmen, and community leaders from surrounding villages. The interaction served as a platform for direct engagement between security forces and local leadership on prevailing security concerns.
During the discussion, emphasis was laid on maintaining zero tolerance towards illegal arms and narcotics, with a strong call for collective vigilance to curb such activities. The participants also discussed the importance of adopting pre-emptive measures to prevent any form of unrest and ensuring timely communication to avoid escalation of local issues.
