Imphal, Dec 10: Assam Rifles organised a solemn Wreath Laying Ceremony on 9th December 2025 at Noney, Manipur, to pay tribute to Rifleman (GD) Braveheart Man Bahadur Pun, who laid down his life in the line of duty during Operation Shakti on 9th December 1967 in Ramlaitui village, Mizoram.

The ceremony was attended by Assam Rifles personnel, local officials, and community members who gathered to honor the courage and sacrifice of the fallen soldier. The event began with a formal guard of honor, followed by the laying of wreaths at the memorial site, accompanied by a moment of silence to commemorate the bravery and dedication of Rifleman Pun.
Speakers highlighted the selfless service and heroism of Man Bahadur Pun, emphasizing the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by soldiers to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty.
