
Ukhrul, May 20: Assam Rifles under the aegis of Spear Corps organised a felicitation ceremony in Ukhrul to honour Veer Naris and ex-servicemen associated with ARESM, recognising their sacrifices and contributions towards the nation.
The event was organised as part of the force’s continued outreach and welfare initiatives aimed at supporting veterans and families of martyrs in remote areas of the Northeast.
During the programme, senior Army and Assam Rifles officials interacted with the veterans and Veer Naris, acknowledging their service, courage and dedication. The gathering also provided an opportunity for ex-servicemen and their families to raise issues related to welfare and healthcare.
As part of the humanitarian initiative, medical assistance equipment including wheelchairs and hearing devices was distributed among beneficiaries to improve their mobility, health support and overall quality of life.
