
Lokra, June 30: The Assam Rifles, under the Spear Corps, organised a community engagement programme titled “A Day with Assam Rifles” at Lokra in Assam, aimed at strengthening civil–military relations and encouraging youth participation in nation-building.
The event witnessed active participation from students of Gyan Prakash Academy, local residents, and aspiring candidates preparing for careers in the armed forces. Participants interacted closely with Assam Rifles personnel, gaining firsthand insight into their roles, duties, and operational environment.
A key highlight of the programme was a motivational and career guidance session conducted by serving personnel, where students and aspirants were briefed on opportunities in the armed forces and the importance of discipline, dedication, and service to the nation.
Various interactive and collaborative activities were also organised, creating a platform for meaningful engagement between the force and the local community. The initiative was well received by attendees, who appreciated the opportunity to connect directly with security personnel.
Officials said the programme successfully reinforced the longstanding bond between the Assam Rifles and local communities in the region, while also inspiring young participants to consider careers in uniformed services and contribute actively to nation-building efforts.
