Meluri, Aug 3: Assam Rifles organised a friendly cricket match with local residents at COB Akhegwo in Meluri district on August 2, 2026, promoting sportsmanship, youth engagement and stronger bonds between security forces and the local community.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local youth and Assam Rifles personnel, providing a platform for interaction, teamwork and healthy competition. The match encouraged a spirit of camaraderie while strengthening mutual trust and cooperation among participants.
The initiative was organised as part of Assam Rifles’ continued efforts towards community outreach and fostering positive civil-military relations in the region.
