Kohima, Dec 26: Assam Rifles under Spear Corps, in collaboration with Progressive Peren (P2), organised the 8th Winter Carnival Festival at Peren in Nagaland, drawing an enthusiastic gathering of over 600 local residents. The vibrant event celebrated cultural diversity, community spirit and harmony in the region.

The festival featured impressive performances by the Assam Rifles Jazz Band and Pipe Band, whose lively and disciplined musical renditions captivated the audience. Adding a rich cultural flavour, local artistes presented traditional dances reflecting the heritage and customs of the Zeliang community, earning wide appreciation from attendees.
The Winter Carnival provided a platform for cultural exchange and community engagement, strengthening bonds between Assam Rifles and the local population. Residents from surrounding areas participated actively, making the event a colourful celebration of unity and shared traditions.
