Kohima, Aug 4: The Assam Rifles organised a friendly volleyball match with the youth of Thongsonyu village at COB Thongsonyu in Nagaland to promote sportsmanship, teamwork and stronger community engagement.

Held on August 3, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local youngsters, who joined Assam Rifles personnel in a spirit of friendly competition and mutual respect.
Officials said the match provided an opportunity for meaningful interaction between security forces and the local community while encouraging discipline, cooperation and healthy recreational activities among the youth.
Villagers appreciated the initiative, saying such events help strengthen trust, promote positive engagement and inspire young people to actively participate in sports and community-building activities.
