Assam Rifles inspire NCC Cadets

September 10, 2026 | BK NEWS SERVICE

Agartala, Sep 9: In an effort to strengthen youth engagement and create greater awareness about career opportunities in the Armed Forces, the Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps organised a Weapon and Equipment Display along with a motivational-cum-awareness lecture for NCC cadets at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel in Agartala, Tripura.

The programme provided NCC cadets with an opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to the equipment and operational capabilities of the Armed Forces. The weapon and equipment display offered the young participants an insight into the tools and systems used by personnel in carrying out their duties.
The awareness session focused on career opportunities in the Armed Forces and highlighted the qualities required to pursue a career in uniform. Cadets were encouraged to develop discipline, leadership, dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.
The interaction also aimed to motivate young people to consider serving the nation while helping them understand the professional opportunities and responsibilities associated with military service.
The Assam Rifles emphasised the importance of youth participation in nation-building and encouraged the cadets to cultivate confidence, teamwork and commitment in their personal and professional lives.
The initiative was also aimed at strengthening the bond between the Armed Forces and the younger generation by providing students with meaningful interaction and exposure beyond the classroom.
Such outreach programmes serve as an important platform for motivating youth, fostering patriotic values and encouraging informed career choices. By engaging directly with NCC cadets, the Assam Rifles continues to promote the values of discipline, leadership and service while inspiring young minds to envision a purposeful future in uniform.
The event concluded with a message urging the cadets to remain committed to their goals and contribute positively to society and the nation.
