Tuensang, July 12: In a bid to inspire young minds and strengthen the spirit of nation-building, the Assam Rifles conducted a motivational interaction and military orientation programme for 30 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from five schools of Tuensang district in Nagaland.

The programme, organised on July 11, formed part of the force's continued outreach initiatives aimed at empowering youth and familiarising them with the values, traditions and responsibilities of the Armed Forces.
During the orientation, the cadets were introduced to the ethos, discipline and operational role of the Assam Rifles through a series of interactive sessions conducted by serving officers.
One of the major attractions of the programme was a weapon display, where cadets were briefed about the equipment used by the force and the importance of professionalism, safety and discipline in military service.
The students also visited the War Memorial, where they paid tribute to brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation. Officers explained the history and significance of the memorial, highlighting the courage, dedication and patriotism of the Armed Forces.
An interactive session with Assam Rifles officers provided the cadets an opportunity to learn about career prospects in the defence services, leadership qualities, teamwork, physical fitness and the importance of serving the nation with integrity and commitment.
The officers encouraged the students to dream big, remain disciplined and contribute positively to society, stressing that the country's future rests in the hands of its youth.
The cadets expressed enthusiasm over the programme, describing it as an enriching and inspiring experience that gave them valuable insights into military life and strengthened their sense of patriotism.
The Assam Rifles has been regularly organising such outreach programmes across the Northeast to promote youth development, national integration and awareness about opportunities in the Armed Forces while fostering closer ties with local communities.
The initiative reaffirmed the force's commitment to nurturing responsible citizens and motivating the younger generation to participate actively in nation-building.
