Agartala, Feb 24: Brigadier Nishant Chandel, Commander of 21 Sector, Assam Rifles, along with Colonel Sahil Sharma, SM Commanding Officer of 35 Assam Rifles, called on the Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, at Lok Bhavan, Agartala.

During the meeting, discussions focused on regional security, community engagement initiatives, and welfare programs undertaken by the Assam Rifles in Tripura. The officers highlighted ongoing operations to maintain peace and stability in the border areas, as well as efforts to strengthen civil-military cooperation through outreach programs for local communities, educational institutions, and ex-servicemen.
The Governor appreciated the Assam Rifles’ proactive engagement with local communities and their continued support for social, educational, and health initiatives in the state. The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on collaborative measures to ensure safety, public awareness, and disaster preparedness in the region.
Officials emphasized that Assam Rifles remains committed to promoting peace, security, and development while maintaining strong coordination with state authorities to address regional challenges effectively.
