
Ukhrul, Manipur, Aug 28: Reinforcing its commitment to community engagement and environmental sustainability, the Assam Rifles organized an interactive awareness programme on waste management at Somsai, Ukhrul on August 27. The event, held at the Company Operating Base, is part of the force’s broader civic action initiatives aimed at fostering eco-conscious habits among local residents.
The awareness drive focused on educating attendees about the importance of proper waste segregation, recycling practices, and minimizing single-use plastic. Through demonstrations, interactive sessions, and discussions, participants were guided on practical steps to implement waste management solutions in their daily lives.
