Imphal, Jan 24: Assam Rifles observed Parakram Diwas on 23 January 2026 at Chalson Tengnoupal Primary School, Tengnoupal District, Manipur, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and honor the nation’s war heroes and freedom fighters. The event aimed to instill values of patriotism, unity, discipline, and responsible citizenship among students.

The programme began with the hoisting of the National Flag and the singing of the National Anthem, followed by a solemn tribute to martyrs. Assam Rifles personnel engaged with students and teachers, sharing stories of Netaji’s courage, selfless service, and dedication to the nation. The initiative left a lasting impression on the young participants, reinforcing a sense of national pride and inspiring them to uphold the ideals of bravery and commitment exemplified by India’s freedom fighters.
