Nagaland, Dec 9: Assam Rifles organised a series of motivational lectures on “How to Join Indian Army & Assam Rifles” at Wonthoi (Noklak), Pungro (Kiphire), and Shengha Chingnyu (Mon) in Nagaland. The initiative aimed to guide local youth on career opportunities in the armed forces and inspire them to consider disciplined, service-oriented professions.

During the sessions, Assam Rifles personnel provided detailed briefings on recruitment procedures, eligibility criteria, physical fitness standards, written exams, and preparation strategies for aspiring candidates. Participants were also informed about the wide-ranging career prospects in the Indian Army and Assam Rifles, the benefits of service, and the values of dedication, discipline, and integrity essential for success.
The interactive nature of the sessions allowed the youth to ask questions, clarify doubts, and gain firsthand insights into life in the armed forces. Officers emphasized the importance of regular fitness, mental resilience, and perseverance, encouraging participants to adopt these qualities early to enhance their chances during recruitment.
