Assam Rifles’ NIT students meet President Murmu in Delhi

 In a memorable event under the Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme, students from Berean Baptist Academy, Noney, participating in the ongoing National Integration Tour (NIT), had the rare honour of meeting the Hon’ble President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The interaction, held on October 26, 2025, aimed to inspire the young participants with a sense of patriotism, national pride, and civic responsibility.

The students were warmly received at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where President Murmu addressed them with words of encouragement and wisdom, urging them to pursue education with dedication and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress. She highlighted the importance of unity in diversity and appreciated the Assam Rifles for its continued efforts in fostering national integration among the youth from remote regions.
Following the interaction, the students were taken on a guided tour of Rashtrapati Bhavan, where they learned about its architectural magnificence, historical significance, and the rich legacy of India’s democratic leadership. The visit provided them a first-hand experience of the functioning of the highest constitutional office in the country.
Later in the day, the students paid tribute to India’s fallen heroes at the National War Memorial, New Delhi, honouring the sacrifices of soldiers who laid down their lives in service to the nation. The solemn ceremony deeply moved the young visitors, instilling in them a profound respect for the armed forces and the ideals of courage and duty.
The National Integration Tour, organised by Assam Rifles, serves as a bridge between remote areas of the Northeast and the rest of the country, offering young students exposure to India’s cultural, institutional, and national heritage. Through such initiatives, the force continues its mission of nurturing informed, inspired, and united citizens of tomorrow.
