Imphal, SEP 15: As part of Operation Sadbhavana, the National Integration Tour (NIT) team from Tengnoupal, organised by Assam Rifles, had the honour of interacting with the Hon’ble Governor of Meghalaya at Raj Bhavan, Shillong.

The meeting, held in a warm and engaging atmosphere, served as a significant platform for promoting civil-military cooperation and discussing the role of youth in fostering inclusive national growth. The Hon’ble Governor lauded the efforts of Assam Rifles in nurturing leadership, education, and awareness among the youth from remote regions through such tours.
During their stay, the NIT team also explored the natural and cultural beauty of Meghalaya, visiting iconic locations including Laitlum Canyons, the serene Elephant Falls, and the vibrant Police Bazar. A halt at Lummawbah village offered further insight into the region’s heritage and lifestyle.
This enriching journey not only broadened the participants’ horizons but also strengthened their connection to the diverse and united fabric of India—aligning perfectly with the core objectives of Operation Sadbhavana and Assam Rifles’ commitment to nation-building and integration.
