
Manipur, Dec 31: Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Thingba Khunou (Shomai) village in Senapati district, Manipur, on 30 December 2025, with the objective of providing quality healthcare services to the local population in this remote area and promoting awareness about preventive health practices.
The medical camp was conducted by a team of qualified medical officers and paramedical staff of Assam Rifles, who offered free medical consultations, basic health check-ups, and medicines to villagers. A large number of residents, including women, children, and elderly persons, benefited from the initiative.
The camp commenced with an informative health awareness session focusing on disease prevention. The medical team highlighted the importance of personal hygiene and sanitation, balanced and nutritious diets, and the role of regular physical exercise in maintaining good health.
