Assam Rifles organises run for unity in Nagaland

Kohima, Jan 24: Assam Rifles organised a Run for Unity and National Flag March on 23 January 2026 at Hakkomute Village, Kiphire District, Nagaland, as part of its Civic Action Programme. The initiative aimed to promote national integration, patriotism, and unity among children and youth of the region.

The event began with a brief address by the Company Commander, who emphasised the importance of unity, integrity, and respect for national values in building a strong and cohesive society. Children from Hakkomute and nearby villages enthusiastically participated in the Run for Unity, demonstrating collective strength, harmony, and brotherhood.
The march included the hoisting of the National Flag, along with interactive sessions where Assam Rifles personnel shared stories highlighting India’s rich heritage and the significance of national unity. The programme not only encouraged physical fitness among the participants but also instilled civic values, patriotism, and a sense of responsibility towards the nation.
The event concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony, where the children vowed to uphold the ideals of unity and integrity, leaving a lasting impression on the community and strengthening bonds between the armed forces and local residents.
