Dimapur, Nov 10: Shamator Battalion of Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Nagaland State Government, organized a Unity March/Padyatra to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. The event, held across key areas in Nagaland, aimed to promote the message of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” emphasizing national integration, unity, and harmony.

Participants from various sections of society, including students, local residents, and government officials, joined the march, reflecting collective pride in India’s diversity and strength. The initiative highlighted Sardar Patel’s enduring legacy in uniting the country and fostering a spirit of cooperation among citizens.
Officials said such events are part of ongoing efforts to raise awareness about India’s unity and instill a sense of patriotism, especially among the youth. The march concluded with messages encouraging peace, social cohesion, and active participation in nation-building activities.
