Assam Rifles organizes health camp in Manipur

Sangaikot, , Dec 14: Assam Rifles conducted a comprehensive medical and dental camp in Sangaikot Sub-Division, Churachandpur District, Manipur, in coordination with specialists and a Medical Officer from District Hospital Churachandpur.

The camp aimed to provide accessible healthcare to locals, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and youth club members. A total of 540 beneficiaries—including children, women, men, and IDPs—received medical treatment, essential medicines, and health counselling. In addition, dental care services were extended to 48 patients, addressing routine and preventive dental needs.
Special attention was given to local youth football teams, with distribution of sports medicines and first-aid kits to ensure their physical well-being during training and matches.
The initiative reflects Assam Rifles’ commitment to community welfare, preventive health awareness, and supporting vulnerable populations in remote and underserved areas. Officials emphasized that such outreach programs are crucial in promoting overall health, encouraging early medical intervention, and building stronger bonds with local communities.
