In a solemn ceremony held at Assam Rifles Headquarters, wreaths were laid in honour of the bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice on July 28 during various counter-insurgency and operational deployments. Lt Gen Lakhera, while addressing the gathering, said, "The courage and devotion displayed by our soldiers continue to inspire every member of Assam Rifles. Their sacrifice is a reminder of our sacred duty to protect the nation, no matter the cost."
He reiterated the force’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security in the North Eastern states and along the Indo-Myanmar border. He also emphasized the need to uphold the highest standards of discipline and operational excellence in honour of the fallen heroes.
