Tengnoupal, Dec 4: Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, along with all ranks, paid homage today to the valiant soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty on December 4, 2016.

In a solemn ceremony, personnel across Assam Rifles units participated in a tribute to honor the courage, dedication, and selflessness displayed by the soldier while serving the nation. Lt Gen Lakhera led the salute, highlighting the bravery and exemplary service of the martyr, and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to upholding the memory and legacy of its heroes.
The ceremony included a moment of silence, wreath-laying, and prayers for the departed soldier, emphasizing the values of duty, honor, and sacrifice that define the Assam Rifles. Officers and jawans paid personal respects, sharing memories and reflecting on the soldier’s commitment to safeguarding the nation.
