Shillong, June 28: Assam Rifles paid solemn tribute to Rfn (GD) Late HK Kuki, who made the supreme sacrifice during an encounter with armed insurgents on 27 June 1963 near Ngoithong in Arunachal Pradesh.

To honour the bravery and devotion to duty of the fallen soldier, a wreath-laying ceremony was held on 27 June 2026. The event served as a reminder of the courage and sacrifice of personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty for the nation.
The ceremony was attended by 6 officers, 12 Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), and 44 Other Ranks. Senior officials and personnel gathered to pay homage and express their respect for the martyr’s enduring legacy.
The solemn occasion concluded with a Guard of Honour, symbolising deep gratitude and respect for the supreme sacrifice made by Rfn HK Kuki.
