Dimapur, Aug 3: The Assam Rifles on Monday paid homage to a brave soldier who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on August 3, 1999.

Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, along with all ranks of the force, saluted the courage, dedication and selfless service of the fallen hero.
Remembering the martyr’s supreme sacrifice, the force honoured his unwavering commitment to the nation and acknowledged the courage displayed by soldiers who continue to safeguard the country under challenging circumstances.
