Dimapur, Mar 28: In a compassionate gesture underscoring its commitment to the welfare of Ex-Servicemen (ESM) families, AssamRifles handed over a cheque of ₹1,00,000 to Miss Sharda Thapa, a cancer patient and daughter of the late Sub Maj Boudharman Thapa. The assistance was provided at Salugara through the Patron & President of Salugara.
Miss Thapa had earlier met the Director General of Assam Rifles during the Siliguri ESM Rally, where she was assured of all possible support for her ongoing treatment. In line with that assurance, the financial aid was extended promptly to help cover medical expenses and ease the burden on her family.
Expressing her gratitude, Miss Sharda Thapa thanked DG Assam Rifles for the timely and much-needed assistance, highlighting how such support strengthens the bond between the armed forces and the families of its personnel.
