Assam Rifles provides relief in Waphong village

Kangpokpi, Feb 24: The Assam Rifles distributed essential items to residents of Waphong village in Kangpokpi, Manipur, as part of its ongoing humanitarian outreach initiatives. The effort aimed to provide relief and support to local families affected by the prevailing security situation and related hardships in the region.

Troops engaged directly with the villagers, distributing daily-use commodities such as food items, hygiene kits, and other essential supplies to meet immediate needs and ease their challenges. The initiative reflects Assam Rifles’ continued commitment to community welfare alongside maintaining security and stability in Manipur.
Officials highlighted that such outreach programs not only address urgent requirements but also strengthen ties between the security forces and local communities.
