Manipur, Nov 17: As part of its ongoing commitment to improving basic infrastructure in remote regions, Assam Rifles distributed Sintex water storage tanks and water pumps to Sangji and Dolang villages in Noney District, Manipur, on 15 November 2025, under its Civic Action Programme.

The initiative aims to tackle long-standing water scarcity challenges faced by the local population. The provision of water tanks and pumps will significantly enhance water storage capacity, ensure reliable access to clean water, and support the daily requirements of villagers, particularly for drinking, cooking, and irrigation purposes.
Officials from Assam Rifles highlighted that such interventions are part of a broader effort to improve the quality of life in remote communities and strengthen community resilience. Villagers expressed their gratitude, noting that the new water infrastructure would ease their daily struggles and contribute to better health and sanitation.
