Manipur, Nov 6: In a commendable act of dedication and service, Assam Rifles restored critical road access to Thamlapokpi village in Chandel District, Manipur, on 5 November 2025. The main route had been blocked for over two months after a stranded JCB following monsoon-related damage cut off the village from essential supplies and services.

The unit swiftly mobilized resources and personnel to recover the vehicle and repair the damaged section, ensuring the lifeline connecting the village to nearby towns was reopened. Local residents lauded the Assam Rifles for their timely intervention, which restored mobility, access to markets, and emergency services.
