Jorhat, Sep 27: Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps conducted its Quarterly Operational Group Meeting at Jorhat, bringing together senior representatives of the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, CRPF, Assam Police and intelligence agencies to review the security situation and strengthen inter-agency coordination in the region.

The meeting was attended by the Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) along with senior officers and representatives from the participating security and intelligence agencies.
The meeting provided a platform for the participating agencies to assess the latest security developments, review operational preparedness and deliberate on measures aimed at maintaining effective coordination among various forces operating in the region.
Intelligence sharing and timely dissemination of operational information formed an important part of the discussions. The participating agencies emphasised the need for close coordination and effective communication to ensure a coordinated response to emerging security challenges.
The meeting also reviewed operational preparedness and the mechanisms required to further strengthen synergy between the security forces, police and intelligence agencies.
Officials discussed the importance of maintaining constant coordination at different levels and ensuring that relevant information is shared promptly among agencies. Such coordination, the participants noted, is essential for enhancing situational awareness and supporting effective security management.
The quarterly meeting also provided an opportunity for senior representatives of the participating organisations to exchange inputs and review existing coordination mechanisms.
The Assam Rifles said such regular operational interactions contribute to strengthening cooperation among security agencies and enhancing their collective preparedness.
