
Imphal, July 23: In a continued effort to strengthen civil-military cooperation and promote peace in Manipur, the Assam Rifles conducted a security interaction and coordination meeting with village authorities and community leaders at L Khunao in Noney district.
The meeting, held on July 20, brought together 30 representatives, including Village Authorities, Village Chiefs and Executive Members from various villages, to discuss issues related to security, coordination and community welfare.
The interaction served as a platform for open dialogue between the security forces and local leaders, enabling both sides to exchange views on maintaining peace, addressing local concerns and enhancing cooperation in the region.
Officials said the initiative was organised as part of Assam Rifles' ongoing outreach programme aimed at building mutual trust, strengthening communication and encouraging greater community participation in maintaining a secure and peaceful environment.
During the meeting, participants discussed the importance of close coordination between the security forces and village institutions in tackling challenges, preventing misinformation and ensuring timely sharing of information for the safety and well-being of local residents.
