Assam Rifles strengthens community trust in Manipur

Kangpokpi , July 4: In a sustained effort to strengthen public outreach and foster peace at the grassroots level, the Assam Rifles, under the Spear Corps, organised a Community Outreach Programme at Bungte Chiru village in Manipur's Kangpokpi district.

The programme brought together local villagers and Assam Rifles personnel for an open interaction on issues concerning the prevailing security situation, livelihood challenges and measures aimed at enhancing confidence between the security forces and the local community.
During the interaction, residents shared their concerns and discussed matters related to day-to-day life, security and development. Assam Rifles personnel assured the villagers of their continued support in maintaining peace, ensuring public safety and facilitating an environment conducive to normalcy and progress.
The outreach also focused on addressing misinformation and promoting factual awareness, with security officials encouraging constructive dialogue and greater community participation in preserving harmony and stability in the region.
Villagers appreciated the initiative, describing it as an important platform for strengthening communication and building mutual understanding. They reaffirmed their commitment to supporting peace, social cohesion and collective efforts for the overall development of the area.
Officials said such community engagement programmes play a vital role in bridging the gap between security forces and civilians, fostering trust and encouraging cooperation in addressing local concerns.
