Kohima, Mar 16: Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the 1 Nagaland Battalion NCC, played a key role in organizing the Annual Sports Meet at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, Nagaland, on 15 March 2026. The event aimed to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and national spirit among students, and saw the participation of around 800 students from various grades.

The morning began with a precision March Past featuring NCC cadets, Scouts and Guides, and representatives from different school houses, showcasing discipline and coordination. This was followed by a series of drill displays, cultural performances, and group activities that set a lively and inspiring tone for the day. Students performed soulful songs and energetic dances, reflecting both talent and school spirit.
The highlight of the event was the competitive track and field segment, where students competed in races, relays, and other athletic events. Assam Rifles personnel assisted in organizing, supervising, and ensuring the smooth conduct of these activities, emphasizing fair play and safety.
School authorities expressed gratitude for the Assam Rifles’ support, noting that the collaboration helped instill values of discipline, leadership, and camaraderie among the students.
