Kohima, Sep 11: In a heartwarming gesture of compassion and solidarity, the Assam Rifles extended meaningful support to the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home (KODH) in Nagaland, reaffirming its commitment to community welfare and humanitarian outreach.
As part of its ongoing civic action initiatives, the Assam Rifles distributed a range of essential supplies including gifts, clothing, food items, and other daily necessities to the children residing at KODH. The event was held at the orphanage premises and was graced by the Commander of the Dimapur Sector, Assam Rifles, who personally interacted with the children and staff.
During his address, the Commander praised the orphanage for its dedicated service in nurturing and shaping the future of underprivileged children in the region. He highlighted that while the Assam Rifles remains steadfast in its mission to ensure peace and security in the Northeast, it equally values its role in uplifting marginalized communities through sustained outreach and support.
"The real strength of a nation lies in how we care for our most vulnerable. Assam Rifles stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Nagaland, not just in safeguarding the borders, but in building a stronger, more inclusive society," he remarked.
