Dimapur, Nov 19: Under Operation Sadbhavna, Assam Rifles under Spear Corps, in collaboration with Wings of Hope, distributed tailoring kits, weaving tools and stationery to women in Mantripukhri, Manipur.

The initiative aims to strengthen grassroots livelihoods, promote self-reliance, and enhance economic resilience among vulnerable communities. By providing essential equipment, the programme supports women in starting or expanding small home-based enterprises in tailoring and weaving—traditional skills that hold strong commercial potential in the region.
Officials said the effort reflects Assam Rifles’ ongoing commitment to community empowerment, especially for women whose income opportunities have been impacted by recent socio-economic challenges.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, noting that the support would help them generate sustainable income and contribute to household stability.
