Assam Rifles trains youth for Territorial Army

Jalukie,, Jan 14: Assam Rifles is empowering local youth in Nagaland through structured training programs aimed at Territorial Army recruitment. At Jalukie, Peren district, 16 candidates underwent rigorous preparation for the Physical Tests, of which 9 have successfully cleared and moved on to the Written Test stage.

The selected candidates are now participating in a 14-day intensive training program that covers the full recruitment syllabus, including regular mock tests and guidance on physical endurance, mental aptitude, and general knowledge required for the Territorial Army. The initiative is designed to provide a strong foundation, enhancing candidates’ chances of selection and promoting disciplined, goal-oriented youth development in the region.
Officials stated that such focused training not only prepares aspirants for recruitment but also encourages local youth to pursue careers in the armed forces, strengthening community participation and regional security awareness. Assam Rifles plans to continue these capacity-building programs across Nagaland, fostering skill development and empowering the next generation of defense personnel.
