Assam Rifles wins overall Ch’ship at AIPDM 2025–26

Gurugram, Mar 31: The Assam Rifles team showcased outstanding marksmanship at the 26th All India Police Shooting (AIPDM) Competition 2025–26, held from March 22–30, 2026, at the Group Centre of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Gurugram.

Competing against top police and paramilitary forces from across India, the Assam Rifles team delivered a stellar performance, winning 5 Gold and 4 Bronze medals. Their consistent precision and skill helped them clinch the Overall Championship, along with individual titles for Overall Best in Rifle and Overall Best in Pistol.
Rfn Suraj Sonar was recognized as the Best Shot in Pistol, highlighting the team’s exceptional individual talent alongside their collective success.
On the occasion, Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, congratulated the team for their dedication, discipline, and exemplary performance. He praised them for upholding the highest traditions of the force and representing Assam Rifles with distinction on a national stage.
The achievement underscores the force’s continued focus on operational readiness, training, and excellence in competitive disciplines, reflecting their professional ethos and commitment to national service.
