Awantipora, Sep 15: Police District Awantipora, under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2026–27, organised a Badminton Tournament with the objective of providing a constructive platform to local youth and promoting sportsmanship, discipline and positive engagement among the younger generation.

The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from players, who displayed commendable sporting spirit, discipline and competitive enthusiasm throughout the event. On the occasion of the conclusion of the tournament, mementos, participation certificates, medals and sports kits were distributed among the participating players as a token of appreciation and encouragement.
The initiative is part of the continued efforts of J&K Police under the Civic Action Programme to strengthen police public relations, encourage youth participation in sports and channelise the energy of young people towards healthy and constructive activities. Police reaffirmed its commitment to organising such community-oriented initiatives aimed at fostering a positive environment and strengthening the bond between the police and the public.
