Awareness rally held in Kohima on Anniversary of Op Sindoor

Kohima, May 14: Assam Rifles under Spear Corps, in collaboration with 1 Nagaland NCC Battalion, Government High School PWD Colony, and the ARPS NCC Wing, organized an awareness rally in Kohima to mark the first anniversary of Op SINDOOR.

The rally witnessed active participation from 30 NCC cadets, 20 students, and 16 ARPS cadets, reflecting strong engagement from youth and student communities in the region.
The initiative aimed to promote patriotism, national unity, peace, and social harmony while encouraging greater public participation in nation-building activities. Participants carried messages highlighting discipline, civic responsibility, and the importance of collective effort in strengthening societal cohesion.
Officials stated that such programmes play a vital role in shaping young minds by instilling values of service, leadership, and commitment towards the nation. The collaboration between Assam Rifles, NCC units, and educational institutions was also highlighted as an example of coordinated efforts in youth development and awareness generation.
The event concluded with a call for continued involvement of students and cadets in similar outreach programmes aimed at fostering unity and positive social engagement.
