Bandipora, June 3: The District Bandipora Ball Badminton Association, in collaboration with the J&K Ball Badminton Association, will organise the District Bandipora Ball Badminton Championship for Boys and Girls 2026-27 from June 15 to 16 at International Delhi Public School, Bandipora.

Sponsored by the J&K Sports Council, the two-day championship aims to promote the sport in the district and provide a competitive platform for young athletes to showcase their talent. The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Ball Badminton Federation of India (BBFI) to ensure fair play and high-quality competition.
Players from affiliated clubs, schools, colleges and educational institutions across Bandipora district have been invited to participate. Interested participants must submit their entries on or before June 14 through WhatsApp or SMS at 6006393007. Participants are required to submit a photocopy of their Aadhaar card along with two passport-size photographs. Organisers have clarified that no on-the-spot entries will be entertained.
The draw of fixtures will be conducted on June 15 at 11:00 AM at the venue prior to the commencement of matches.
A key feature of the championship will be the selection of outstanding players who will represent Bandipora district in the forthcoming Union Territory-level Ball Badminton Championship. The event is expected to provide a significant opportunity for talented athletes to advance to higher levels of competition.
Officials of the District Bandipora Ball Badminton Association said the championship is part of ongoing efforts to encourage youth participation in sports and strengthen the development of Ball Badminton in the region. Representatives from the J&K Ball Badminton Association and J&K Sports Council are also expected to attend and oversee the proceedings.
