Banihal, Sep 20: The Indian Army Banihal Cricket League (IABCL) is emerging as a popular sporting platform for youth in the Chenab Valley, with the tournament witnessing enthusiastic participation and growing public support.

The Round-II encounter of the league between Shining Cricket Club, Doda, and ANK Warriors, Bhaderwah, witnessed an exciting contest, attracting cricket enthusiasts and local residents.
The tournament is underway at Banihal sports stadium and 32 teams are participating in the league.
The match was attended by MLA Ramban Arjun Singh Raju and MLA Inderwal Payare Lal Sharma, who interacted with the participating players and locals and encouraged the young cricketers to pursue sports with dedication and discipline.
The growing popularity of the tournament reflects the enthusiasm of people across the region for sporting activities and provides local youth with an opportunity to showcase their talent on a competitive platform.
The Indian Army, through such sporting initiatives, continues to encourage healthy competition, teamwork and positive engagement among young people. The league also provides an opportunity for youth from different parts of the Chenab Valley to come together through sport.
