Thoubal, Dec 7: Assam Rifles inaugurated the “Banners of Unity” Women Empowerment Centre under Operation Sadbhavna, providing skill development and livelihood opportunities for women from underserved communities, internally displaced families, and the transgender community.
The centre focuses on tailoring skills, enabling entrepreneurship and financial independence. Its handcrafted products received national recognition during the Vijay Diwas ‘At Home’ ceremony in New Delhi, where a special National Flag memento was presented to the President of India.
This initiative highlights Assam Rifles’ commitment to inclusive development, grassroots transformation, and socio-economic resilience in Manipur.
