
Baramulla, Dec 28: 6th District Baramulla Taekwondo Championships Conclude Successfully at JKSC Indoor Sports Complex, Khwajabagh.
The 6th District Baramulla Taekwondo Championships concluded successfully with a vibrant closing ceremony at the JKSC Indoor Sports Complex, Khwajabagh, Baramulla. The two-day championship was organized by the Taekwondo Association of District Baramulla under the aegis of the J&K Sports Council and the J&K Taekwondo Association.
A total of 150 athletes from various schools and clubs across District Baramulla participated in the championship, showcasing remarkable skill, discipline, and sportsmanship. The gold medalists selected during the event will go on to represent District Baramulla at the forthcoming J&K UT Taekwondo Championships.
The championship received valuable support from the J&K Sports Council, the J&K Taekwondo Association, and Warmup Electric Hamam.
The closing ceremony was presided over by Adv Neelofar Masood, Vice President of the J&K Taekwondo Association, as the Chief Guest, while Tariq Ahmad Magloo, President Traders Federation Baramulla, attended as Guest of Honour.
Guests of Honour present on the occasion included Gulzar Ahmad Zargar (President Press Club Baramulla), Nighat Shafi (Chairperson Help Foundation) ,Anzar Ahmad Mujoo, Irshad Ahmad, Farooq Ahmad Rather, Mushtaq Ahmad Kirmani, Mir Mohsin, Dr Rameez Mehraj, and Showkat Ah Shah.
Special Guests included Adv Rabia Wank, Ms. Asma Qureshi (Co Founder Shehjar), Sajaad Ah, and Adv Adil Jamal.
The Referee Panel comprised Hashim Majeed, Mohsin Ali, Abrar ul Haq, Aksa and Others who ensured fair play and adherence to competition standards throughout the event.
The Organizing Committee included Mumtaz Nazir (Organizing Secretary TADB) and Aqib Hussain Lone, whose dedicated efforts contributed significantly to the smooth conduct of the championship.
Showkat Ah Shah was appointed as the observer by J&K Sports Council.
Addressing the gathering at the closing ceremony, Adv Neelofar Masood congratulated all medalists, participants, coaches, referees, and parents for making the championship a grand success. She also expressed her sincere gratitude to Nuzhat Gul, Rajesh Pangotra, and Ramesh Chander Sharma for their unwavering support and cooperation throughout the event.
