The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), District Baramulla, successfully concluded the Inter-Zonal District Level Volleyball Championship for Girls Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 age groups with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
A total of 45 zonal girls’ teams from across the district participated, showcasing outstanding talent, teamwork, and determination throughout the competition.
In the Under-14 final, Zone Sopore faced Zone Wagoora, where Sopore emerged victorious.
In the Under-17 final, Zone Sopore once again displayed dominance by defeating Zone Kunzer to clinch the title.
In the Under-19 final, Zone Singpora Kalan outperformed GHSS Baramulla in a thrilling contest to lift the trophy.
The championship not only provided a platform for young girls to display their skills but also highlighted the district’s growing sporting culture. The outstanding performers of this tournament have been shortlisted to represent District Baramulla in the upcoming Provincial Level Volleyball Competition in the coming days.
