Doda, Sep 20: The body of an unidentified man, believed to be around 54 years old, was recovered under suspicious circumstances from Bagh Barshalla near Sheep Quarters in the Thathri area of Doda district on Saturday.

Officials said police were alerted about the incident, following which a team from Police Station Doda reached the location and recovered the body.

The deceased was later shifted to Doda at around 7 pm for medico-legal formalities.

Police have registered cognizance of the incident and launched an investigation to establish the identity of the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
