
Muzaffarpur, Nov 26: The Department of Political Science at BRA Bihar University celebrated Constitution Day on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
Presiding over the event, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai discussed the unique features of the Constitution. He urged students and teachers to incorporate constitutional values into their personal conduct, stating that the Constitution's goal will only be truly realized through such practice. Prof. Rai laid special emphasis on the mandatory requirement of prioritizing duties in equal proportion to rights. The program began with a welcome address by the Head of the Department, Prof. Neelam Kumari.
The Chief Speaker, Dr. R. P. Rahi, a retired Professor from Patna University, presented his views on 'Indian Constitution @ 77'. He highlighted the importance of the Constitution.
The Chief Guest, newly elected Muzaffarpur Nagar MLA Shri Ranjan Kumar, an alumnus of the department , stated that his journey from a common citizen to an MLA was only possible due to the guarantee of individual rights enshrined in the Constitution. He also stressed prioritizing solutions for the problems facing Muzaffarpur.
The program was conducted by Prof. Vipin Kumar Rai, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Amar Bahadur Shukla. The event saw the presence of numerous faculty members, heads of various university departments, research scholars, students, and non-teaching staff. Faculty Members Present included Prof. RK Chaudhary, Dr. Kantesh Kumar , Dr. Raksha Singh , Dr. Devendra Pratap Tiwari , Dr. Bharati Sehta , Dr. N. P.
