February 03, 2025 | BK News Service

The Border Security Force (BSF), while steadfastly safeguarding the nation’s frontiers, remains committed to initiatives that foster unity and strengthen ties with the Kashmiri border population, particularly the youth.
As part of this effort, fifteen students from Government Higher Secondary School in Keran and High School in Mandian, accompanied by a teacher, embarked on a Bharat Darshan Tour on February 2, 2025. Organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the tour commenced from 139 Battalion BSF Headquarters in Trehgam, Kupwara, and will conclude on February 7, 2025, upon their return.
The primary goal of the Bharat Darshan Tour is to instill a sense of camaraderie and patriotism among the students, strengthening their connection with the rest of the country. The initiative aims to promote mutual cooperation, coordination, and trust, fostering a sense of security and confidence within the border communities.
In addition to the tour, 139 Battalion BSF Trehgam is actively organizing various programs in border areas to recognize and support students. These efforts involve local state officials, school children, and the border population, encouraging better understanding and collaboration.
The tour was officially flagged off by Shri Anil Kumar Guleria, Commandant of the 139 Battalion BSF. During the ceremony, senior BSF officers and civil dignitaries motivated the students, emphasizing the significance of their journey.
The Bharat Darshan Tour includes visits to Ahmedabad and several locations in Gujarat, such as the Statue of Unity, Nadabet, and other renowned tourist attractions. The itinerary also features historical and cultural sites, providing students with an opportunity to experience India’s diverse heritage and multicultural richness.
This tour is a unique opportunity for the young participants to immerse themselves in India’s vibrant culture, broaden their perspectives, and gain valuable insights into the nation’s ongoing development and progress.
