Budgam CAP Volleyball tournament concludes

Police in Budgam organised a Volleyball Knockout Tournament under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) with the aim of promoting sports, discipline, and positive youth engagement. Teams from across Sub-Division Magam participated with great enthusiasm and competitive spirit.

The matches were held at Boys Higher Secondary School, Magam and the final was played between Dangerpora Magam and Goomahmadpora Magam, in which Dangerpora Magam emerged victorious to clinch the tournament title.
The concluding event was graced by SDPO Magam Shri Mohammad Ashrif (JKPS), as Chief Guest. While interacting with the players, he highlighted the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.
The winning and runner-up teams were awarded trophies, cash prizes, and certificates. The initiative was widely appreciated by locals and civil society members, who commended J&K Police for engaging youth through constructive activities.
Police remains committed to fostering a sports culture and empowering youth as part of its broader mission to build a drug-free and crime-free society.
