Although the Department of Youth Services and Sports had earlier organized various sports competitions under the Inter school level in relation to the calendar activities, the children in the district were very busy showing their talent while participating in the competitions under the Inter zonal level and the District level.In this context, the department organized the Inter Zonal District Level Athletics Competitions in Budgam district of central Kashmir, in which a large number of players from 12 zones of the district actively participated. During this, the children showed excellent performance in the great sports competition.

Children from different zones won the field in the high jump as well as Shot put,While on this occasion, Long Jump, Javelin Throw and 100,200 & 400 meters etc are worth mentioning. It is worth noting that the District Youth Services & Sports Officer at the Sports Stadium Ghulam Hassan Lone Inaugurated the competitions in the presence of District Sports Activities Incharge Ghulam Hassan Khanday and Senior Master Mohd Ayub Khan.It may be recalled that from tomorrow, girls of different ages will participate in athletics competitions, while sports activities are also ongoing at the inter school level in all 12 zones of the district and in the coming days, Budgam district is going to host UT level u-14 Cricket in various Sports Grounds of the District.
