Carnival holidays boosts Kashmir tourism

February 11, 2026 | BK News Service

Srinagar, Feb 10: Srinagar is witnessing a renewed momentum in tourism as Carnival Holidays Pvt. Ltd. plays a significant role in revitalizing the Valley’s travel sector through large-scale MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and corporate travel initiatives.

The New Delhi–headquartered tour operator, which maintains a strong pan-India presence, has announced plans to bring more than 5,000 tourists to Kashmir this year, signaling growing travel confidence following the Pahalgam incident. The initiative is being spearheaded by Mr. Ashwani Bhan, Director of Carnival Holidays and a Srinagar-born Kashmiri entrepreneur who continues to actively promote the Valley as a safe and vibrant destination for both corporate and leisure tourism.
In the past week alone, nearly 1,000 tourists representing leading corporate organizations—including Tata Play, Mankind Pharma, and Shriram Finance—visited Kashmir through curated group tours organized by the company. The visiting groups explored prominent tourist destinations such as Gulmarg and Pahalgam and reported highly positive feedback regarding hospitality, safety arrangements, and overall travel experience.
The tours also featured grand gala evenings and musical events, including performances by noted singer Abid Ali, with stage coordination by Nasir Ali and Shaina Mahajan. Carnival Holidays executed the events under its zero-error ground handling policy, ensuring seamless logistics and guest management.
Bhan acknowledged the cooperation and support extended by Radisson Collection Srinagar, Royal Tours, and the operations team led by Ms. Diti Priya Gupta, emphasizing that organized MICE tourism is emerging as a key driver in Kashmir’s economic and tourism recovery.
